Song snippets, stings and jinglesAbout music sounds
Music here means short musical moments, not songs: jingles, stings, chord hits, drum fills, a four-bar loop, a sad trombone, a triumphant fanfare, a single piano note for a dramatic pause. Clips top out at thirty seconds, and most are much shorter, because they are meant to punctuate a video or a call rather than play under it.
Every musical clip on this page is either public domain, released under CC0, or a community recording that has been reviewed before publishing. We do not accept uploads of commercial songs, chart hooks, or anything a label could claim, no matter how short the excerpt. Ten seconds of a hit is still a copyright claim on YouTube and a ban risk for a channel on TikTok. What is here is safe to use in a monetised video, and the licence line on each sound page tells you whether credit is required.
If you are stacking a sting on top of a voice track, the usual rule is to lower it by six to ten decibels and add a short fade so it does not clip the end of a word. Editors who want the finer points can read the editing guide; creators unsure what "CC0" or "CC BY" actually permits should read the licence explainer before they publish. Musicians who want to contribute a jingle or a loop of their own can upload it in under a minute.
