Prank sounds are the clips you play when someone is not expecting them: a phone ringtone that is not theirs, a doorbell when nobody is at the door, a fake notification, a mosquito buzz, an alarm, a cough from the next room, a glass shattering behind them. They are short, loud and designed to be mistaken for real life, which is exactly what makes them work.

Everything here is free to play and download, and most of it is CC0 or public domain, so you can build them into a Discord soundboard or a stream deck without worrying about licences. A few ground rules that keep this fun: keep it to people who will laugh about it, do not use alarm or emergency-style sounds in places where someone might act on them, and check your volume before you hit the button in a shared room. A prank sound at full blast through a headset can genuinely hurt.
